I am a design student currently majoring in visual communications and digital culture at the University of the Sunshine Coast [UniSC], with plans to undergo their Masters of Creative Arts post-graduate programme.
My design ‘special interest’ is physical, artful media such as zines, high-quality publications [art/photo/cook-books], and hand-bound books.
I discovered publication design in 2025 and since then it has become a passion I’ve explored by producing my own zine [Idiosync Zine], collecting niche books with interesting layouts, producing hand-bound art journals, and researching the book design, printing, & publication professional landscapes.

As well as publication design I am also practiced in graphic design, photography, creative writing, and illustration [& plan to move into animation & audio-visual fields].
Largely influenced by underground//outsider culture and an ‘art-first’ philosophy, I seek to make the unconventional difficult to ignore with my work. Bold, high-contrast, and ‘daring’ elements are often juxtaposed with intimate photography or prose, much like my zine series and other publications such as my “There is No such Thing as Nature” concept-photography booklet [see gallery].
My creative practice is heavily inspired by Surrealist automatism, which facilitates an organic synthesis of concepts & development of my work in an exploratory manner. My ‘art-first’ approach puts the intuitive resonance and qualia of the work at the forefront of my design process & consideration, considering visual aspects to be interesting, engaging, attractive - as well as intuitively meaningful.
